Principal - Krista Eason

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I’m Krista Eason, and I’m honored to serve as the principal of Pitts School Road Elementary. As a proud Cabarrus County native and educator with over 27 years of experience, I bring a deep passion for student growth, teacher leadership, and community connection.

My journey began in kindergarten classrooms and has grown through roles in instructional technology and school leadership. I believe in creating a positive, student-centered environment where every child thrives and every teacher is empowered.

I’m excited to partner with our dedicated staff and with you—our families—to build a strong, collaborative school community. Your involvement makes a difference, and I encourage you to stay engaged through volunteering, events, and open communication.

Assistant Principal - Meghan Walker

Hello Panther Families!

My name is Meghan Walker and I am so happy to be joining PSRES as your Assistant Principal! I began my career in Cabarrus county as a student teacher and then became a special education teacher at Hickory Ridge Middle School before moving to Hickory Ridge High School where I was a special education teacher and exceptional children's department chair. In addition, I completed my principal internship at HRHS.

I graduated from UNC-Charlotte in 2015 with a B.A. Special Education General Curriculum and Adapted Curriculum K-12. In 2023 obtained a M.Ed. from UNC-Charlotte in Special Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis. I also obtained a graduate certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) from UNC- Charlotte. In addition, I received a graduate certificate in School Administration from UNC-Charlotte in 2024. 

I am looking forward to a great year at PSRES! 

Assistant Principal - Haleigh McManus

Hello Panther Nation!
My name is Haleigh McManus and I have worked for Cabarrus County Schools since 2018. I spent my time teaching at the elementary level before spending this past school year as an intern and then Assistant Principal in the middle school world. I live at home with my husband Ryan and our two pets. We have a dog named Goose and a cat named Butter! In my free time I love to travel, swim, and read.
I am excited for this opportunity and look forward to meeting all of you!
